Summary
The Rebalance Accruals tool is used to apply accrual balance adjustments on individual employee records. This allows users to correct accrual balance issues by balancing accrual ending values for one period (current balance) with accrual beginning values for the next period (beginning balance).
Step by Step
1 Open the Accrual Rebalance window (PR> Utilities> Accrual Rebalance).
2 Complete the Setting section.
- Enter the employee number in the Employee Number field or click the Employee Number field label to select the employee from a list.
- Enter the date in the Rebalance Start Date field. Accrual rebalancing will apply to all accruals from the start date forward.
- The system will only update employee records where the beginning balance value does not match the current balance value of the previous row. In these cases, the system will calculate the difference between these two values and apply an adjustment for that amount.
- If, after applying the adjustment, the accrual hours exceed the accrual cap set up on the employee record, a warning message will be displayed alerting users that they will need to investigate the accrual balance and accrual cap on the specific employee record.
- Press ENTER to process the accrual rebalance immediately or enter a date and time in the field next to the Confirm icon to schedule the process to run at a later time.
- You can view the progress of the process on the Job Viewer window (SS> Utilities> Show Scheduled Jobs).
