PR Workers Compensation Report Insurance Report

Summary

This document describes how the fields that display on the Workers' Compensation Insurance Report are calculated.

Step by Step

 

1     Open the Workers' Compensation Report window (PR> Reports> Workers' Comp).

 

2     Configure the report.

  • Select Insurance in the Report drop-down menu.
  • The Base Rate column on report includes both the employee and employer amounts. For example, if the employee dollars is $3.50 per 100 and the employer dollars is $1.00 per 100, the base rate will display .0450 ((3.50+1.00)/100).
  • The Subject Wage field will display the paycheck amounts associated with a workers' compensation code.
    • Wages will only display in this field if the pay code on the timecard line item used to create the amount is set up to affect the gross wage type selected in the Gross drop-down menu on the Workers' Compensation Report window.
    • For example, if you generate the report for Disability 1 (the title of this field is user defined), then only wages created using pay codes set up to increase Disability 1 wages will be included in this field.
    • Pay codes are set up to affect specific gross wages using the Pay Code Maintenance window (PR> Maintenance> Pay Code> Gross to Increase section> Disability 1 or Disability 2 fields).
  • The Overtime Excess field displays wages on timecard line items associated with pay codes set up as overtime or FLSA overtime.
    • Pay codes are set up as overtime or FLSA overtime using the Pay Code Maintenance window (PR> Maintenance> Pay Code> Pay Type drop-down menu).
  • The Base Amount field displays the subject wages multiplied by the workers' compensation multiplier on the pay codes used to generate the timecard line items.
    • You can view the workers' compensation code multiplier attached to a rate code on the Pay Code Maintenance window (PR> Maintenance> Pay Code> WC Multiplier field).
  • The Base Premium field displays the employee and employer portion totaled together. For example, if the employee portion is $125 and the employer portion is $100, the Base Premium field will display $225.
  • The Adjusted Rate column displays the Base Rate multiplied by the modifier on the workers' compensation code. The workers' compensation code modifier has not been implemented on the Workers' Compensation Code Maintenance window (PR> Maintenance> Workers' Compensation).
  • The Adjusted Premium field displays the base premium amount multiplied by the workers' compensation code modifier.

 

3     Print the report.

  • Click the Print icon to process the report immediately or enter a date and time in the field next to the Print icon to schedule the report to generate at a later time. You can view the progress of the report on the Job Viewer window (SS> Utilities> Show Scheduled Jobs).
    • Click the Print icon drop-down menu and select Print Preview to preview the report before printing.
    • Click the Print icon drop-down menu and select Excel to export the report data to an Excel spreadsheet as unformatted data.
    • Click the Print icon drop-down menu and select Excel (Formatted) to export the report data to an Excel spreadsheet that includes much of the Springbrook formatting found on the printed version of the report.
    • Once the report is generated, you can also display the report using the View Reports window (SS> Utilities> View Report).
