Summary
The Journal Entries Search screen is used to view a filtered list of journal entries. Once you have created a list of journal entries, you can export them to an MS Excel spreadsheet using the export feature that is available on all windows that display information in a grid.
Use the Journal Entries process (GL> Journal Entries) if you would like to create a journal entry.
Step by Step
1 Open the Journal Entries Search window (GL> Journal Entries Search).
2 Filter the displayed journal entries.
- Enter information into the fields in the filters section and then press ENTER or click the Search button to update the records that display in the window.
- The System drop-down menu is used to filter the journal entries that display in the window by the module that was used to create them.
- The Process drop-down menu is used to filter the journal entries that display in the window by the process within the module selected above.
- The Batch field is used to filter the journal entries that display in the window by the Journal Entry batch used to create them. Click the Batch field label search button to select a batch from a list.
- The Status drop-down menu is used to filter the journal entries that display in the window by the commit status of the journal entry.
- The Fiscal Year and Fiscal Period fields are used to filter the journal entries that display in the window by the fiscal period and fiscal year.
- The Journal Entry field is used to filter the journal entries that display in the window by journal entry number. Journal entries are assigned a sequential number that resets at the beginning of each fiscal period.
- The Line Amount field is used to filter the journal entries that display in the window by GL History Line Amount.
- Click the Search button to update the journal entries that display in the window.
- Click EXCEL EXPORT or CSV EXPORT if you would like to export the information that displays in the window to an MS Excel or comma-separated value spreadsheet.
- Click the JE Number if you would like to open the Journal Entry window and view the line items associated with the journal entry.
