Summary

The Inspection by Inspector report displays the inspection type details for a range of permits and sorts those details by the assigned inspector.

Step by Step

1     Open the Inspection by Permit report window (BP> Reports> Inspection by Permit).

2     Configure the report.

  • Check the toggle next to each Permit Status you would like to include in the report.
    • By default, all permit statuses will be selected. You can use the Select All or Deselect All icons to select or deselect all the displayed permit statuses.
    • Permit Statuses are created and maintained on the Permit Status Maintenance window (BP> Maintenance> Permit Status).
  • Check the toggle next to each Step Status you would like to include in the report.
    • Step statuses specify the current state of inspection types and can be used to change the permit status or to apply a fee to the permit.
    • By default, all step statuses will be selected. You can use the Select All or Deselect All icons to select or deselect all the displayed step statuses.
  • The Sort Options drop-down menu is used to determine how the report will be sorted.
    • The Inspection by Permit report will always be sorted first by permit number.
  • Check the Page Break by Permit toggle to limit the generated report to one permit per page.
  • Check the Include Inspection Notes toggle to include any notes recorded in the Notes field of the Permit Maintenance window (BP> Maintenance> Permit> open a permit> Inspection tab> Notes field).
  • The Inspector/Dates and Permit/Lot tabs are used to filter the inspections that will be included in the report. Enter the desired information ranges in any of the fields on these tabs to filter the included inspections.
  • The Permit tab is used to add specific permits to the report. Adding individual permits to the report will override any filter information entered on the Inspector/Dates or Permit/Lot tabs.
    • Click the Create icon to add a permit to the report. This will open the Permit Selection window.
    • Highlight a permit and click the Confirm icon to add the selected permit to the report. You can repeat this process to add as many permits as desired.
  • The report will display the Application Number, Permit Number, Tax Lot, Lot Address, Inspector, Inspector Phone number, Inspection Type, Inspection Status, status of the Internal toggle, Scheduled date/time, Required date/time, Actual date/time, and Notes if toggled.
