Summary
Inspector Groups are used in the Building Permits module to group the inspectors that can be assigned to inspection types. For example, electrical inspectors could be grouped together into a single inspector group called Electrical. That inspector group can then be specified as the default group on an electrical inspection type. When that type is ready to be scheduled, the scheduling clerk can quickly choose from any of the inspectors included in the default inspector group.
Inspector groups are not required, and any user set up on the Schedule User Setup window can be assigned to an inspection type.
