Summary
The Fee Unit Type Maintenance window is used to define what units will be used to assess permit fees. A fee unit type is a user-defined unit used to compute how those fees are totaled.
Step by Step
1 View the existing Fee Unit Types.
- Open the Fee Unit Type Maintenance window (BP> Maintenance> Fee Unit Type).
- The left section of the window will display all of the fee unit types that have been created in the BP module. Select a fee unit type in the left section of the window and the information attached to that fee unit type will populate in the Maintenance section to the right.
- Highlight a fee unit type and press DELETE or click the Delete icon if you would like to delete a fee unit type.
- You cannot delete a fee unit type that is attached to an active fee.
- Press INSERT or click the Create icon if you would like to create a new fee unit type. This will create a new line item in the left hand portion of the window and the fields in the Maintenance section will be enabled to enter the fee unit type information.
2 Create a new Fee Unit Type.
- The Unit Type field is used to identify a unique fee unit type. The unit type code can be up to 20 alphanumeric characters.
- Once a Unit Type is saved, it cannot be edited.
- The Description field is used to enter a description on the fee unit type. This optional description can be up to 60 characters long.
- Click the Save icon or press ENTER to save the fee unit type.
