Summary

In order to help Cirrus detect and connect to a document scanner connected directly to the workstation or on the workstation's network, the Springbrook Agent must be installed. This small application will run in the background when you are using a scanner and ensure a consistent connection between Cirrus and your peripheral hardware. Connected document scanners must use TWAIN or WIA drivers.

Step by Step

• Open the Install Springbrook Agent page (Support> Install Springbrook Agent).
• Click the Download button to download the Springbrook Agent Setup.exe file.
• Once the file has successfully downloaded, browse to the download location and double-click the file to open the Springbrook Agent Setup Wizard.
• Click the Install button and follow the prompts to install the Springbrook Agent.
• Click the Finish button when the installation is complete.
• Once installed, the Springbrook Agent will automatically start running every time the workstation is in use.
• The first time you attempt to scan a document to attach to a Cirrus record or in the AP Invoice Document Reader, you will be prompted to provide the Springbrook Agent ID as an additional security measure.
  • Open the system tray on your workstation, right-click on the Springbrook Agent icon  , and select Copy Agent ID to Clipboard.
  • Paste that agent ID into the Missing Springbrook Agent Configuration window and click the Create and Connect button.
    • This Agent ID step is only required the first time the current user uses the document scanner functionality on the current workstation. If a different user attempts to use the document scanner on the current workstation, or if the current user attempts to use the document scanner on a different workstation, the Agent ID step will be required again.
• Once the Springbrook Agent is installed and confirmed, documents can be scanned as attachments or as invoices in the AP Invoices Document Reader.
