Help Documentation Icons
The CivicPay help documents are organized into individual topics. Each topic covers a specific element or process within the application. Many of these topics include a list of procedural steps or explanations that can be expanded or collapsed in order to display only the steps that are relevant to your current task.
The CivicPay Help Center displays a series of icons across the top of the open documentation topic.
- The Expand All icon is used to expand all of the procedural steps included in the current topic. When the steps are expanded, the icon changes to Collapse All and can be used to close all the procedural steps in the topic.
- You can also use the Expand drop-down or Collapse drop-down button next to a single step in the topic body to expand or collapse the step details for that single step.
- For example, click the Expand button at the end of this line to expand the text.
- The Print icon is used to print the document that displays in the window. Clicking this icon will create a printer friendly version of the document that does not contain the menu bar or extraneous graphics.
- Only the steps that have been expanded with the Expand drop-down button will be printed. This allows you to avoid printing unnecessary steps. Click the Expand All icon before printing if you would like to include all of the topic steps in the printed topic.
- The Navigate Previous and Navigate Next icons are used to navigate to the previous topic or the next topic in the help documents.
Help Documentation Navigation
The CivicPay Help Center offers two primary methods for navigating through the help documents. The top drop-down menus Administration, CivicPay Center, CivicPay Online, and Contact Us - are used to navigate the help topics by application. The Search bar is used to search the help documents by a specific term or set of terms.
Hover over a top drop-down menu to display the help topics for that application.
The Search function allows you to search for a specific term or set of terms. Type a term in the search field and press ENTER or click the magnifying glass button to search for the term. The results will display the document title and information about the document where the term was found. Results will be ranked by the frequency that the term appears in the document.
- When you select a document, each section in the document that contains the search term will automatically be expanded.
- To search for multiple terms, simply type in the terms in any order. The ranking system will still display the documents in order of search term frequency. To search for a specific phrase, such as "penalty fee", be sure to enclose the term in quotes.
